Emergency Department

Hamilton Hospital's Emergency Department is staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to provide emergency care. You can feel secure in knowing that Emergency Room physicians are on-site every week night as well as all day and night on Saturday and Sunday.

The Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department are all trained in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum.

The department is prepared for emergencies with state-of-the-art equipment including computerized monitors to track heart rhythms, blood pressure monitoring and oxygen levels in the blood.

We are proud to be a Community Level Trauma Center in the Iowa Trauma System.
