Obstetrics
Our Obstetrics Department boasts two state-of-the-art birthing
rooms with an "at home," comfortable atmosphere
to enhance relaxation and promote a positive birthing experience.
Not only is the staff caring and friendly, all personnel attending
deliveries are certified in neonatal resuscitation (NRP),
and some of the OB staff is nationally certified in Inpatient
Obstetrics. Hearing screenings are performed on all newborns
prior to discharge as condition warrants. This is the first
step in recognizing a hearing loss and making the proper referrals
to ensure each child gets the best possible start in life. New equipment like the new phototherapy treatment (bili bed) can be found, and wireless fetal monitoring (to promote more freedom of movement in labor). Enjoy new birthing beds, and an updated look to the rooms.
Hamilton Hospital has a state-of-the-art security system to
promote the safety of infants.
