 Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Department is responsible for all aspects of medication administration in the hospital. We have two full time pharmacists and one part time pharmacist.
Among the other pharmacy staff are four pharmacy technicians.
Our goal is to provide you with safe, effective and cost efficient medication therapy with minimal side effects during your stay with us. The pharmacists are available
for consultation and questions 24 hours a day. We evaluate and monitor patient medication regimens as part of the team that includes the physician, nurses and other hospital
caregivers. Each medication is reviewed for how it will affect patients during and after their hospital stay.
Hamilton Hospital also employs automated dispensing cabinets with bar code filling, technology that provides quick access to medications and decreases medication errors.
Our pharmacists are available to answer your medication questions during your hospital stay or after discharge. Feel free to ask to speak with a pharmacist any time.
