 Surgery
Our state-of-the-art Surgery Department provides a wide array
of surgical services performed by Board Certified surgeons
on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Area residents
have found it to be very convenient to have procedures done
right here at home rather than going to the extra time and
expense of driving out of town for the same service.
We offer the following services:
- Same Day Surgery
- Endoscopy (including gastroscopes, colonoscopies, flexible
sigmoidoscopes, bronchoscopes)
- Surgery including General (hernia repair, removal of
gallbladders, etc.), Orthopedics (including repair of carpal
tunnels, trigger fingers, arthroscopies, and repair of
fractured hips), Ophthalmology, Gynecology (hysterectomies, Novasure abllations, bladder repairs, diagnostic procedures), Podiatry, Laparoscopic
and ENT (removal of tonsils and adenoids, ear tube insertion,
sinus surgeries).

Service (sterilization of instruments)
Our Surgery Department staff has 174 years of combined
service to Hamilton Hospital. Two of our staff are Certified
Nurses of the Operating Room (CNOR), and at least two of
the staff members attend the Annual Operating Room National
Convention.
We take pride in our state-of-the-art equipment, including
colonoscopes & gastroscopes and monitoring equipment (TV,
light source & printer), the latest in patient monitoring
equipment to monitor vital signs, and our laparoscopic equipment
includes up to date cameras, monitors and insulators. The
department also features sophisticated anesthesia equipment,
including BIS monitoring which is an awareness monitoring
of the patients during surgery.
The Surgery Department hours are 5:30 AM-4:00 PM Monday through
Friday. Two staff members are on-call after hours, weekends
and holidays.
