Description:
|
Full-time, exempt position, primarily day shift may occasionally be asked to work an evening. The Controller is responsible for the daily operations of the general accounting department. Accounting responsibilities include, but are not limited to, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries and balancing, monitoring of cash and investments, audit and cost report schedule preparation, preparing monthly financials, budget preparation, analytical reporting and charge master coordination. |

Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Minor in Business and/or CPA designation preferred. At least two years experience in health care (preferable Hospital) work setting using budgeting tools and financial analysis required. Knowledge of cost report reimbursement is preferred. Experience in the use of MS Excel, Outlook and Word required. Knowledge of report writing software preferred
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead a team and make presentations before groups.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and focused amid constant interruptions in a fast paced environment is required.

Understand interactions between clinical areas and their rolls within the hospital. Basic computer skills are required along with general knowledge in report writing for various areas of the hospital.
